The estate covers some 1,200 acres although only about 150 acres are currently producing grapes (more to come) the vines are planted on a silty clay loam with a high percentage of gravel running through it.

Until 2002 the Pinot grapes were sold to Coldstream Hills, with the Palazzo family now looking to establilsh their own label.

The Racers & Rascals label is produced from young vines and the name refers to the young men who used to race cars on the land in the 1930's.
