Named for the river Tagus which runs through the centre of the region, Ribatejo is the most central of Portugal’s traditional provinces, and has been making wine for hundreds of years. Close to the river, vineyards are naturally irrigated, meaning they are prone to excessive yields, sometimes as large as nearly 6 tons per acre. Because of the large amount of grapes produced in the region, Ribatejo is second only to Estremadura in terms of wine produced by volume, with Port blends and Touriga Nacional being the most popular grapes grown in the region.
Our suppliers come from all around the world, but they share one common goal – quality.
